New Students Who’ve Never Attended COA

课程

While enrollment in at least 12 semester hours is considered full time, a normal course load is 16 hours. You’ll need to earn a minimum of 32 credit hours to gain sophomore status.

Please see your 顾问 if you’re planning to take more than 18 hours. The vice president of Learning authorizes 顾问s to approve a course load of up to 20 hours if you have an overall grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0或更高. 如果你的平均成绩低于3分.0, or if you want to take more than 20 hours, you’ll need to get approval from the Vice President of Learning or the Vice President of Student Success and Enrollment Management. Permission isn’t necessary when registering for the specific course load designated in your occupational program of study.

When deciding how many semester hours to take, please first consider factors like family responsibilities, 课外活动, work schedules and study time.
